Morgan Burkhard Inks Multi-Year Deal with Czabok-Simpson Motorsport

Indianapolis, IN (December 14th , 2024)

Morgan Burkhard, one of motorsport’s brightest emerging talents, has officially signed a three-year contract with Czabok-Simpson Motorsport (CSM) to drive the Porsche Cayman Clubsport GT4 RS in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge

This agreement represents a landmark moment in the career of the 19-year-old driver, who has already made a name for himself with an impressive rookie campaign in the TCR class, piloting the Hyundai Elantra N for VGRT in 2024.

The deal signals a major step forward for Burkhard, granting him rare long-term stability in an industry known for its unpredictability. With this partnership, CSM is committing to both developing and showcasing Burkhard’s immense potential in one of the most competitive stages in motorsport.

CSM Co-Owner Stephen Simpson expressed his enthusiasm for the addition of Burkhard to the team:

“Morgan embodies the qualities we value most in a driver—raw talent, unrelenting drive, and a level of maturity that exceeds his years. He’s already proven himself capable of competing with the best, and we believe this is just the beginning of what he can achieve. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the CSM family and look forward to building something special together.

Our focus is to deliver strong results on the track, starting with Daytona, and to support Morgan as he continues to grow as a professional.”

For Burkhard, this deal marks the realization of a lifelong dream. As a driver who has ascended rapidly from racing ITA and SRF in the SCCA just two years ago to the IMSA Paddock.

He remains grounded and deeply appreciative of the team that helped him reach this milestone.

“To have this opportunity at 19 years old, and so early in my career, is truly a dream come true,” said Burkhard. “Driving a Porsche in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge is something I’ve dreamed of since I first watched the 24 Hours of Daytona as a kid. To now be part of a program with Czabok-Simpson Motorsport—a team that shares my passion for excellence and competition—feels surreal.

“I owe this achievement to the incredible people who have supported me along the way. Stephen Simpson, Billy Vincent, Jackson Gardner, and Cliff White have each played instrumental roles in my journey. Their belief in me has been unwavering, and I’m beyond grateful for their guidance and trust. I’m ready to hit the ground running at Daytona and can’t wait to get to work with the CSM team.”

Billy Vincent, founder of MPG Motorsports and Burkhard’s long-time manager, reflected on the significance of this step in his protégé’s career:

“This is a monumental moment for Morgan and a testament to his dedication, talent, and professionalism. It’s incredibly rare to secure a multi-year contract at this stage of a young driver’s career, but Morgan has earned every bit of it. The alignment with CSM is perfect; it’s a team that understands the value of nurturing talent while pushing for competitive excellence. I’m confident this partnership will unlock new levels of success for Morgan.”

Burkhard’s agent, Jackson Gardner, emphasized the rarity and significance of a multiyear contract in motorsport:

“Opportunities like this don’t come along often, especially in a sport were short-term agreements are the norm. For CSM to commit to Morgan with a long-term deal speaks volumes about their vision and understanding of young driver development. We’re incredibly thankful to Stephen Simpson and the entire CSM organization for believing in Morgan’s potential. This partnership is a blueprint for sustainable success in motorsport, and we’re excited to see where it takes him.”

Czabok-Simpson Motorsport, co-founded by Stephen Simpson and Matthias Czabok, is based in Brownsburg, Indiana, one of the United States’ motorsport hubs. With over 30 years of combined experience in racing as drivers, team owners, and contributors to top-tier programs such as IMSA, WEC, IndyCar, and ChampCar, the team is dedicated to competing at the highest level while fostering the next generation of racing talent.
